Posting twice in one day is probably a blogging faux pas, but this is well worth it. Seeing this wonderful sister of mine was a highlight of my day. I mean, look at how big I'm smiling =). Thanks for the chat, Ie Li Anne!
When we were chatting I accidentally ended our video call. Ie Li wasn't sure what happened when it said, "Ie ended the phone call," because it turns out we're both "Ie" on gmail. Haha. I imagine if Ie Mei was in on the conversation it would've been overflowing with confusion. Pun intended =).

My Life in a Collage: Number One.
This idea came to me recently. I make a lot of picture collages and I decided I could just use one as my entire post some days. It's been fun. So, here's a glimpse of this past week, in a collage. Enjoy.

GNI: Girls' Night In
This past weekend I was able to have a little reunion with my favorite roommates from North 5 of Chatsworth. We did so many fun girly things including nails and facials. We also maybe ate some yummy snacks. I have a strange obsession with this yummy stuff right now:
We used to have nail parties on a regular basis and it was nice to be together like old times. If Cassie were writing this blog right now, she would tell you the names of every color we are sporting, but I am not quite up to par on my nail polish names. However, I know that I am sporting a blue from the Shrek collection on my toes and a Splash of Grenadine on my fingers.
We bought some cheap facials from Walgreens and let them dry while we painted nails. Girl friends are good things to have on a Saturday night.
And in celebration of spring, I decided to do some spring cleaning. For some reason when I get in those moods I like to re-arrange. Therefore, I re-arranged my bedroom. There aren't too many options for re-arranging with a dorm sized room, but I managed to take my mattress and box spring off of the frame and move all of it to the other wall, cinderblocks and all. It made for a relaxing Sunday evening in a clean room.

I never win anything...
except a google chrome laptop! So, about a month and a half ago, a guy made an announcement in my marketing class and said that this website Lucid Chart, a flowcharting website/application was going to give out 100 google laptops for the top 100 flowcharts that were made. So, I just wanted to see what it was like and started playing around with it when I was at work.
A couple weeks ago I got an email saying I was in the running to receive one of these laptops and that they just needed my mailing address and stuff. So, maybe some aren't as trusting as me, but I thought that it was legit, so I went ahead and did it. They sent me another email saying my laptop was on its way. I was a little bit in disbelief because when I went to the list of winning entries, my name didn't appear and I got a lot fewer ratings than all the other winners. So, I kind of dismissed the thought.
But to my astonishment, today I came home to a box on my doorstep and guess what was in it!! The laptop that I'm typing on right now! It's just in the testing stages, so it doesn't take the place of my normal laptop, but I'm having a lot of fun playing around with it. Anyway, here is a link to my winning entry: Take Me Out to the Ball Game. Yay for new toys!
P.S. Shoutout to Jordan and Lecith for being so encouraging while I created this.

New this Week
My BYU ID expired three weeks ago. I had been meaning to go into the ID Center and get a new picture taken, but I couldn't just take it on any random day in between classes because I'm a girl and feel like I should look pretty in my picture. So, a couple weeks ago, I woke up, showered, dried my hair, straightened it, did my makeup and put on some cute clothes for my picture.
When I walked into the ID Center, they asked me for my ID. I didn't bring it because I thought I was getting a new one...that makes sense to me, but maybe that's just me? Anyway, they told me something ridiculous that in order to get my new ID without paying $10 dollars, I had to have my old ID, so it's taken me a couple extra weeks to find time to get it done. Anyway, I got a new ID picture yesterday and I really like it. Not that anyone looks at it besides me, and now all of you!
It's good right? Minus the little elf ear that's poking out? And now I'm noticing that my sweater covers my shirt on one side but not the other...but like I said, no one will look at it, but me.
This past weekend I had a Friday night to myself. I decided to listen to The Bachelor in the background while I worked on a little craft. I keep wanting to be a part of the cute headband crowd but sometimes I feel like I look like it's my first day of kindergarten, but occasionally I feel confident wearing them. Anyway, that was a tangent. What I meant to say is that I made a new flower attachment for my headbands. It looks like this:
I feel like it looks better in person than on my cell phone camera, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I think it looks cute and if you're wondering how to make it, you can find instructions here. A guy in my ward borrowed my needle and thread so I resorted to a hot glue gun which may be easier, but maybe not as neat. It works though.
Provo is warming up. For some reason I keep thinking it's just a little break from the winter cold, but I'm realizing that in just 10 days it'll be spring! I love Provo in the spring and summer. I really think there isn't a happier place. But I'll post more about my spring feelings when it's actually here. Other than that I'm just here at my desk in the Open Access Computer Labs. And while we're talking about the labs, I had a funny conversation this morning with one of the computer technicians.
Matthew: Ie Ling! How's everything going in the SWKT labs this morning?
Ie Ling: ...it's...
Matthew: But first, on a scale of 1-10, how much do you love the sun shining today?
Ie Ling: I'm sure I'd love it, except I haven't seen it yet...
Sadly, my walk to work begins around 6:45 in the morning and I work in the basement of the SWKT. But as soon as I'm off at 11:00, I'm off to enjoy the sunshine. Matthew says I'll really like it. I'm excited =).
